Whinchat Conservation on the Longmynd

This project describes the background, considerations, methods and findings of the three years of research to establish why whinchat are in decline and to determine action to reverse this. This involves locating nests, monitoring broods, colour ringing chicks as well as recording habitat observations to make bracken management recommendations and trial these.
